TalkHouse is the arm of the Westminster Gospel & Culture Project which is a simple and easily reproducible way of both introducing particiants to the subject of cultural engagement and and providing the opportunity for continued and deeper dialogue.
TalkHouse conversations are typically held over dinners of 12 participants hosted in the homes of friends of The Gospel & Culture Project. Participation is by both request and by invitation extended to Westminster Theological Seminary students & faculty, and members of the local and extended community.
Conversation is centered on a predetermined topic and is intentionally guided by three questions:
What do we need to know about this topic in order to speak about it intelligently?
How does the Gospel demand that we interact with this topic differently than we are doing right now?
How do we as Christians then speak about this topic in such a way as to begin to effect change within our spheres of influence?
Preparation involving thought and short readings is usually required.
